Owen Boss

Artist Biography


Owen Boss is a visual artist, moving images artist, and designer based in Dublin. Exhibitions include Beyond These Rooms (Tate Exchange Tate Liverpool 2019); Life with Edits (The Joinery Dublin 2011); Testimonial Live (Project Art Centre Dublin 2010); Camera Obscura (Lighthouse Cinema Dublin 2009); Punctum, (Project Art Centre Dublin 2008).

In 2009 Boss co-founded ANU Productions (http://anuproductions.ie/) with Louise Lowe; as Co-Artistic Director his work includes TheLost O’Casey (Dublin Theatre Festival 2018); These Rooms (London 2018; Dublin 2016); Sunder (Dublin Theatre Festival 2016); On Corporation Street (HOME Manchester 2016); Pals the Irish at Gallipoli (National Museum of Ireland 2015); Angel Meadow (Home Manchester 2014); Vardo (Dublin Theatre Festival 2014); THIRTEEN (Dublin Fringe Festival 2013); Boys of Foley Street (Dublin Theatre Festival 2012); Laundry (Dublin Theatre Festival 2011); World's End Lane (Dublin Theatre Festival 2010-2011); Fingal Ronan (Robert Wilson Watermill Center New York 2010); Basin (Dublin Fringe Festival 2009).Boss also worked on design for The Same (Corcadorca Theatre Company 2017).

Owen Boss has been a recipient of Arts Council Awards including a Visual Art Bursary, a Project Award, an Artist in the Community Scheme Project Realisation Award, a Participation Bursary, and an Artist in the Community Scheme Research and Development Grant, and has also been awarded a Ballymun Regeneration Breaking Ground Local Artist Commission.
