The ins and outs of things #1 Vaari Claffey in conversation with artist Jesse Jones in her studio at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.

This is one in a small series of contributions submitted by Irish and international artists, writers and curators invited by MEx curator in residence 2016 Alice Butler to activate the resource by drawing attention to individual works or artists, underlying themes, evolving patterns or historical threads.  For this submission to the index, Vaari Claffey visits Jesse Jones in her studio at IMMA to discuss Jesse’s practice in a conversation which is loosely woven around a number of objects found on the shelves and walls of the workspace.

Vaari Claffey is a curator and writer based in Dublin.  She is Director of Gracelands and Hazelwood Visual Arts, Sligo. She occasionally works in film and performance in collaboration with artists and others. Vaari teaches part time at IADT and MA Art in the Contemporary World, NCAD, Dublin.
