Kevin Gaffney’s new film ‘Far from the reach of the sun’ 

Kevin Gaffney’s new film Far from the reach of the sun will be shown at Ormston House as part of the 38th EVA International Public Programme and Limerick Pride 2018.

On Wednesday 4th July at 6pm when Kevin will be in conversation with Kathleen Soriano, followed by the film screening from 7pm at Ormston House 9-10 Patrick Street, Limerick City, Ireland.

This Film revolves around the protagonists sharing their innermost thoughts and feelings; tumultuous worlds at odds with the power structures surrounding them. The film reflects on the effects of isolation and homophobia on a queer person’s relationship with themselves and others, and the plethora of stereotypes and contradictory messages that queer people navigate daily.
