Rhythms of a Port

Moira Sweeney

Artist's biography

Moira Sweeney

Synopsis

'First screened in an imposing redbrick warehouse beside the Samuel Beckett Bridge on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Rhythms of a Port brings to life personal reflections, stories and memories of dockworkers, boatmen and port managers. This former dry cargo store serves as a reminder of the working docks which were once close to the heart of the city. Multi-media descriptions of everyday reality on a contemporary working dock contrast with history, to reflect on of a transformed way of life.'
