I am a Belfast-born filmmaker and visual artist. My work is primarily concerned with the human experience, and particularly with its relationship to technology. It examines the “out of body experience”, and all its potential permutations; whether as a religious phenomenon, an artificial or natural ‘high’, taking a selfie, searching for your own house on google maps, even dreaming or daydreaming, its something we’ve all experienced recently. We seek the out of body experience as a way of enlightenment, as a technique to think laterally, to observe objectively, reframe, decontextualise and reconcile. What’s more, we are not even aware that we do it.
