Postbaby
Emma Finn
Synopsis
In Postbaby, which is based on true stories of babies being posted in the early days of postal service worldwide, the postman recalls a journey that involved a parcel, two girls and a sheep. Many of the backdrops were derived by following those babies’ journeys via Google maps.
Postbaby explores the fragile nature of human memory and video data: digital memory is often perceived as stronger and less impervious to damage than human memory, but video and images can be corrupted the more they are processed, just as humans’ stories change over time.
